I met my 2 friends there for brunch: it was their first time there, and they both ordered the Joanne's fish and chips and it came with French fries: they absolutely loved their dish! This time I had the Crab and lobster omelette with the heure blanc in the side: it was such a delight! It was light and scrumptious, and it came with 2 toasts! The lobster and the crab were so fresh and delicious! I ll definitely order that again I just adore that place truly! My favorite manager Randi was not there this time: I missed her friendliness and mms contact

Personally I don't know what all the fuse is about. I'm in no rush to go back. It's good food, not exceptional per se. But then again who I'm I to judge, I don't like Providence, their Michelin Star restaurant either. The service is great and everyone is really friendly, but the food is just a tad bit too expensive for what you get. I have no problem paying extra for special food, but this doesn't quite measure up.

It had been a couple years since we went. But it was definitely a fantastic cheeseburger - as it often makes the "best burgers in LA" list. Service was fun and friendly and outgoing. Onion rings, fluffy and amazing. We went early, five thirtyish. Place was really quiet and easy Peezy.

I'm a sucker for Seafood! YOM! Got their 5th anniversary special; calamari, seafood stew, and peach cobbler and New England clam chowder. I'll come back here again! Delish!

Connie and Ted's is a long-standing upscale seafood "shack" with unique Googie-esque architecture and a 2-star Michelin chef (Michael Cimarusti) as a chef/partner. The last time I visited, they still had their pandemic dining tent occupying the front parking lot. Now that's gone, and the beautiful building can be better admired once again. The menu has remained virtually unchanged. There are classic seafood dishes, simply prepared, plus some land-lover options. The fresh fish/oysters can vary daily, and there is a daily plat du jour (Sunday's fried chicken is apparently very popular). There is a large outdoor dining terrace in the front; inside is a dining area and a bar area with bar seating and high-tops. I once again started with their clam chowder sampler: cups of New England, Manhattan and Rhode Island clear served with house-made oyster crackers. I then tried the clam cakes, deep fried fritters that were on the doughy side. For a clam starter, I prefer their Stuffies--clams, sausage, bell peppers and breadcrumbs baked and served in the shell. I've never tried their shellfish tower or grilled fish, but vow to one day. Their lobster roll is justifiably popular; it can be ordered hot with drawn butter or cold with mayo. served with fries, slaw or potato salad. I got the hot lobster roll plus a fried clam roll (can be ordered with strips or more costly bellies). The place remains very popular and service is decent. Always a good choice in WeHo. There's a newer seafood-centric WeHo spot also, Saltie Girl, which I also tried. The lobster rolls are pretty similar (you can't really change such simple ingredients), but Saltie Girl has some dishes that are more composed, plus an extensive tinned fish menu and a different vibe. Seafood lovers should try both.

Connie & Ted's serves up New England classics in a modern setting. Fresh seafood from the west coast means there's wicked awesome dishes on the menu. Choose between chilled items from the oyster bar, daily specials, or lobster rolls.  Ed's Portuguese Fish Stew: The fish stew is in a low slung bowl. The soup is savory, sweet, tart, and reddish-brown, consisting of tomatoes, onions, and potatoes. The seafood includes the catch of the day (today, it was cod), mussels, clams, and linguiça sausage. The herby fried breadsticks are crunchy and great for dunking in the broth.  Dining Area: There are many tables in the rooms inside. There's a long bar counter. The outdoor patio is sizable.  Parking: There's a small valet lot in front, but you can probably find street parking if you're willing to walk. Just make sure the sign doesn't block parking at night.

We had a delightful experience! It was brunch time, so they had their Brunch Menu as well as their regular menu which you are able to order from. They have a free dedicated parking lot available. There was a sign out displaying hours from 11AM-4PM. I'm guessing that it's only available via Valet after 4PM? I'd say the service & free parking (when we came) were worthy of 5 stars! However, I would give the food maybe 3.5-4 stars. I can't consume oysters much any more, but I'm thinking they probably would have prodded me to give them that last star! Walking inside, it has kind of a modern diner type of feel to it. Maybe it's just East Coast vibes? Not sure. We started with the Chowda' Sampler, then had the Jonah Crab Cake, Monkey Bread, and I ate the Live Sea Urchin. We then got the Black Cod with Blistered Snap Peas. This dish was our least favorite, although it wasn't bad. We ended our meal with the Boozy Brûlée and Ice Cream. We really enjoyed our meal, the service, and the atmosphere! The Chowda' Sampler includes three different types of chowder; creamy New England, tomato-based Manhattan, and buttery Rhode Island Clear. Hubby's favorite was the Manhattan while mine was the New England. The Rhode Island chowder seemed way too buttery for us, just not our preference. Those little house-made oyster crackers were seemingly dense, but they held up their crunch in the chowda' - I really liked that!! It was great to sample each one, I'm glad they have this option. These two dishes were ok (Crab Cake & Black Cod), but we probably wouldn't get them again. The Jonah Crab Cake was cooked well and came with a side of sauce and a slaw. It is one large crab cake, about the size of a pre-cooked hamburger patty. For $29, I think it is a little pricey. The Grilled Wild Black Cod from California (we chose the Herb Crust on it) with a side of Blistered Snap Peas. We really liked the Snap Peas! The Black Cod was served with the skin side down. I thought that was a no-no?!? I was sad because I wasn't able to eat the crispy skin. We both really enjoyed the Monkey Bread! Mmmm!! The inner pieces were moist and soft! The outer pieces were a bit overcooked (dry) for me. I'm always in the mood for Uni! I got the Live Santa Barbara Sea Urchin and it didn't disappoint! It's served with buttered toasts which I didn't eat. I like to eat my Uni as a stand-alone item. If you like the strong taste of Bourbon in your dessert, then the Boozy Brûlée is for you! Beware! The Boozy Brûlée is made with Four Roses Bourbon, and is so very booze forward in taste! I got a scoop of the Limoncello Sorbet and it was packed with tartness. A spoonful of that would've been a great refreshing palate cleanser!! I thought a scoop of it was a little too much for me. Hubby had the Butterscotch Ice Cream. This is one of Michael Cimarusti's restaurants (as is Providence), so take the pricing into consideration. The service was remarkable. Our server kept checking on us and we kept ordering more food, lol! She also asked us when we'd like our items to come out. That was a big plus! It really annoys me when everything is plopped on the table at nearly the same time. We like to enjoy our food in a relaxed time-frame! I'm glad we tried this place! I was hoping for the Hokkaido Scallop Dog to still be on the menu, but sadly, it wasn't. I still prefer my Providence experience food-wise over Connie & Ted's.

If you like seafood that is creative, and from the makers of the most exclusive restaurant in Los Angeles (Providence) without pretentiousness, then this is your spot. It isn't overhyped like many WeHo establishments, and you can often find this to be a popular brunch and dinner spot for families and casual locals who know what value is all about. Service is prompt and never an issue. We were able to make reservations very easily, and when we couldn't adjust it, we simply called and were accommodated right away. They have an amazing omelet croquet, and well, everything on their brunch beckons "this is fire" by some young blood. You will find that their monkey bread is popular among kids, but what impresses me the most is their new black cod hash. This is a filling dish at $24 and can bring together a smoked/grilled fish that is extremely hard to find, dill, potatoes, and sauces. I think this new dish should be around to stay, just like Connie and Teds, which is a mainstay of this bougie part of town.
